The combination of the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors makes it easier to install one instead of two separate systems. It is simple to install, set up, and use. First of all, it’s a reliable brand, and thus the quality is bold and solid. I like that it’s battery-operated, so there’s no need to reconnect any wires in the ceiling or wall. The LED light is visible to detect the status of the room, which makes it convenient for checking.
This should work out perfectly in my camper van. Thankfully, the beeping is very loud. I’ve had some other carbon monoxide detectors where the beeping wouldn’t even be noticeable in the next room. Not with this Kidde… it’s going to get your attention!
It comes very well packaged. Surrounded by many inches of firm cardboard, and wrapped in little shower caps for smoke detectors. Nice that the batteries are included. I ran it through its tests, and the light changed from green to amber, to red when expected. I’m very happy with it.
